The Bergy Bandroom is loading up its weekend with two nights of live music and $5 cheeseburgers.
It kicks off on 31 July, when Middle Palms bring the launch of their new single High to The Bergy Bandroom, backed by Groundswell and Powder Blue.
The band bill the night as their biggest Melbourne show yet, folding fresh material into older tracks as they stretch their pop-rock sound toward indie pop. Doors open at 7.30pm, with general admission at $11.75 after the early bird ran out.
The following night, 1 August, stacks the bill four acts deep. Lazy Wizard, Non Standard Leisure, The Clags and Mango Zest split a $16 ticket.

There’s a spread of sounds across the 1 August bill. Lazy Wizard are a Melbourne trio working a garage and psychedelic stoner-funk streak, out to showcase their debut EP Lunatic Soup, while Non Standard Leisure trade in big atmospheric builds, heavy riffs and belting vocals.
Rounding it out, The Clags bring post-punk with a new-wave edge fresh off a Leaps and Bounds Festival slot, and Mango Zest dig into a 2000s pop-punk revival out of Naarm.
Fuelling the 1 August show is a one-day $5 cheeseburger run. Order one with any drink and it’s $5, or $10 with chips, with the kitchen going from 1pm to 10pm before the bands take over.
The bar backs it up with a refreshed happy hour, built on the venue’s line that it’s pretty much always happy hour at The Bergy. Taps, house spirits, house wines and prosecco all sit at a flat $10.
On top of that, a pre-purchased Oztix ticket to any Bergy show takes 20% off your food order, so the pre-gig feed lands cheaper.
