Oz Kink Fest is bringing ten days of latex, leather and community spirit to Melbourne this October
Grab your best latex, because Melbourne’s alternative scene is about to get a whole lot spicier.
Oz Kink Fest returns to Melbourne this October for ten days of fetish, performance, education and community.
Running from 8 October, Oz Kink Fest has become one of Australia’s longest-running celebrations of kink and alternative sexuality, pulling together performers, educators, designers and makers from across the community for a packed program of markets, parties, workshops and shows.
It’s the kind of event that welcomes total newcomers just as warmly as those who’ve been part of the scene for decades.
At the heart of it all is the Fetish Expo, which takes over Collingwood Town Hall on 10 October with more than 60 stallholders selling everything from latex and leather fashion to adult toys, jewellery and artwork.
Expect DJs, roving performances and demonstrations throughout the day, before the whole thing builds to the Grand Fetish Fashion Show, a runway spectacle featuring designers, models and performers from across the community.

Melbourne after dark
Once the sun goes down on Expo day, Collingwood Town Hall transforms again for the Fetish Expo After Party, a night of performance, dancing and play where attendees are encouraged to put their new gear to good use, with international guests performing throughout the evening.
The middle of the festival is all about learning, with Mid-Week Workshop Intensives running from 13 to 15 October.
The program features international presenters including Lee Harrington and DK Blackfish running workshops, alongside demonstrations from Tom Hill, with more names still to be announced. Topics span kink practices, communication, consent, safety and the many forms BDSM play can take.
Things ramp up again on 16 October with Hellfire Resurrection, a large-scale fetish club night at Chasers featuring international and Australian performers, multiple spaces, dungeon installations and a strict fetish dress code, complete with cash prizes for the best outfits.
The following night, Klub Kunst offers something a little more intimate, an edgy, play-focused event aimed at more experienced members of the kink community, with performances curated around the intricacy of kink play.
The festival wraps with Weekend Workshop Intensives on 17 and 18 October, bringing back Lee Harrington, Tom Hill, Ms_Kitten and DK Blackfish for two full days of classes across multiple streams and disciplines.
Beyond the parties and performances, organisers say the festival’s real focus has always been community, giving people a place to meet others, ask questions and explore without judgement.
Independent makers, designers, educators and performers from across Australia’s fetish scene also get a platform through the festival, with consent and respect positioned as central to everything on the program.
