Today we’re diving into some of the best festivals happening across Victoria in June.
Dark Festival
Also known as Rave Reconceptualized, Dark Festival is an electronic festival featuring work from international performers Alex Stein, Kai Tracid and Sam Jones to name a few.
The Dark Festival will take place in an aircraft hangar that is no longer used, truly ensuring attendees have a memorable experience. It’ll feature some killer food trucks and market stalls and it’ll be happening on Saturday June 11, tickets start from $103, grab them here.
Rising Festival
If you haven’t seen anything about this festival over the last few weeks, you’ve been living under a rock.
Three years in the making, Rising has come out of COVID strong and prepared a killer program for fans in 2022. You can catch music from artists like Masego and Lucy Dacus, to dance works inspired by Australia’s incarceration rate.

Mornington Winter Festival
Now we’ve got a journey outside Melbourne for the Mornington Winter Music Festival, a 4-day show lighting up Mornington’s streets.
You’ll be able to catch some of the region’s best acts, like Paul Woseen, Hazel and the Thief, Chris Swayn, and Mother Culture to name a few. On top of that, there’ll be some great music adjacent events like the record fair, which hits The Royal Hotel in Mornington on Saturday June 11.

CONVOLUTION
Having passed its 40th birthday in 2021 amidst lockdowns – The Tote is celebrating this milestone with plans for a full 12 months of celebrations, taking full advantage of these eased restrictions. They’re putting on a massive show called CONVOLUTION at the Abbotsford Convent, a two-stage mini festival featuring huge acts such as the Kylie Aulidist Band, That Gold Street Sound and theremin player and composer Miles Brown.
CONVOLUTION will take place on Saturday June 25. Tickets are avaliable via Oztix and The Tote website.

Donut Festival

If you’re a fan of all things sweet, keep this weekend free, as the Queen Vic Market transforms into the home of the Donut Festival.
According to the website, there’ll be pretty much all types of donut and donut related snacks on offer, like vegan donuts, churros, and loukoumades, to name a few, so why not try them all? We won’t tell.

Doom in June
The Bendigo Hotel knows how to put on a killer day-festival, often showcasing some of our best local bands.
This month, one of their many one-day festivals is Doom In June, as the name suggests, showcasing some of Melbourne and Australia’s best performers in the Doom genre. Some of the bands involved include Goat Shaman, Lucifer’s Fall and Mammon’s Throne, among many more.

Glow Winter Arts Festival

Making its way to Prahran Square is the Glow Winter Arts Festival, a display of installations that you’ll never forget.
It’s happening over 10 nights, where attendees can warm up with some food and drink on site, while they immerse themselves in the amazing art pieces on display. It’s happening nightly until 10pm.

Mind Body Spirit Festival

After a few years out of action for obvious reasons, the Mind Body Spirit Festival is back, hitting the MCEC later this month.
All your favourite parts of the festival are returning, there’ll be psychic readings, workshops, products, and giveaways. This year will also include the care-a-van, which’ll give you some free health checks.

The Push Music Expo

Targeted to high-school aged music fans, The Push is putting on a show that’ll help those who are interested in getting a job in the music world. There’ll be workshops, 1 on 1’s, and a whole heap more.

National Celtic Festival

Celtic performers from across the world will grace the stage, dazzling fans with their unique music and great dancing. Some of the performers involved include Justin Bernasconi, The Raglins, and Siobhan Owen.

Castlemaine Jazz Festival
Heading to the region on Queen’s Birthday weekend, the Castlemaine Jazz festival gives some of the biggest festivals a run for their money with their killer lineup.
You can catch music from performers like Windows of Longing, Shrirazz, The Old Married Couple, and Meg Corson, each lighting up the country town with their massive songs and amazing solos.

Indian Street Festival
Melbourne is a great melting pot of so many different cultures and backgrounds, people from across the globe head here and share many traditions with us, which helps unearth events like the Indian Street Festival, hitting Glen Waverley this month.
There’ll be Bollywood dancing, DJs, live music, and of course, a whole heap of food that will make your mouth water. It’s a free event that’ll be happening at the Glen Waverley library forecourt on Sunday June 5.
