Prolific garage-rock outfit Osees are crossing the Pacific again in February 2027, and they're not travelling light.
The Californian band, who have also put out music as Thee Oh Sees and OCS across their long run, are folding Brigid Dawson back into the Osees lineup for the tour. Dawson featured heavily on some of the group’s most loved earlier records, lending her keyboards and harmonies to Help, Carrion Crawler / The Dream and Floating Coffin, and she had a hand in shaping frontman John Dwyer’s melodies. A solo performer in her own right, she rejoins for a run of shows built around that stretch of the catalogue.

Support on every date comes from Station Model Violence, a Sydney outfit that swells from six players to nine depending on the night. The group draws current and former members of R.M.F.C and Total Control into its ranks, and lands the run on the back of a debut album of its own.
Osees have made a habit of reinvention, moving from early lo-fi folk sketches into high-voltage garage punk before arriving at their current mix of krautrock, noise and long, winding progressive jams. For Off Course the band returned to an older, jam-heavy writing method, working ideas up in the room before tracking them live to tape, with Tom Dolas and Dawson brought in to add the finishing layers. The record sits alongside that earlier catalogue as the backbone of the touring set.
The February run stretches from a regional Victorian stop at Barwon Heads through to the Gold Coast, taking in theatres, hotels and a market venue along the way, with two nights at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel the only dates in the city. Tickets for all six shows are on sale now through Feel Presents. The visit marks another Australian return for the group, and pairs the Dawson reunion with the first local outing for Off Course.
