I fucking hate the Wainwrights. Well, Rufus has his moments, and I probably haven’t explored Martha’s work as much as I should have. But my distaste for Loudon more than compensates. But I Am Sorry, taken from Martha’s upcoming LP Come Home To Mama, is pretty fucking great. Soaring over a gritty guitar and drum arrangement, Martha carries us through an all-too-short journey into dizzying heights. But yeah, lumping all the Wainwrights into one group is a dick move and I am sorry.
