Bad Bangs drop new video before their debut album launch at The Curtin

Bad Bangs

Melbourne garage-rockers Bad Bangs are busy little bees at the moment, in the very exciting run-up to the launch of their debut album at The Curtin.

Character Building is the foursome’s sunny-take on rock of the garage persuasion, with a style that’s  comparable to The Murlocs, Cate Le Bon and Ty Segall, among others.

The band are currently touring around regional Victoria in the lead up to their big bash at The Curtin on February 19, but in exciting news they’ve just dropped a dark and mysterious new video for the single ‘Can’t Dance’, an emotional departure from the Super 8 music video they released with their very catchy 2021 single, ‘Sweet Thing’.

What you need to know

  • Bad Bangs have got a new vid, a regional tour and an album launch for your perusal

Character Building was recorded by John Lee at Phaedra Studios in Coburg and their blend of introspective vocals and energetic guitar riffs are raking in the glowing reviews and feature album nods around the country.

Their full-length has been eagerly awaited since the band recorded their first single back in 2017, and released their impressive first EP, Grow It Out the following year.

They’ve already delighted fans at the likes of St Kilda Festival and Brunswick Music Festival, shared the stage with acts like Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, and now they look, sound and feel ready to take the next step.

After The Curtin, they’ll be spreading the love to Kyneton at Major Toms on February 26 with Baby Velvet.

Supporting their debut launch at The Curtin will be glam-rockers Pollyman and indie folk outfit Anna Cordell. You can buy tickets here.
