Butler will take to the stage when the magical four-day festival return in March.

The Port Fairy Folk Festival has just given us another reason to hit the road this March, adding John Butler to its 2022 lineup.

Returning to the glorious setting of the music-loving coastal village for its 45th edition from 11-14 March, Butler joins an already exciting diverse lineup of local talent, promising to be a vibrant celebration of music and culture, including Weddings, Parties, Anything, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Courtney Marie Andrews, Baby Et Lulu and Kee’ahn on the line-up, alongside Eric Bibb, Eilen Jewell, Mandolin Orange, Elephant Sessions and Jon Boden.

Butler is renowned as one of Australia’s premier alternative songwriters and storytellers with accolades spanning from #1 charting albums, platinum records and ARIA Awards across his illustrious career as one of the country’s most successful independent musicians.

His rich catalogue of iconic hits spanning over a quarter of a century includes signature songs such as Zebra, Better Than, Ocean and more. His music continues to traverse the globe having performed on the world’s most iconic stages, venues and festivals including Fuji Rock, Glastonbury, Coachella, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and more with his high energy live show and revered musicianship.

Butler’s most recent studio album, 2018’s HOME, debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts with the record exploring new sonic territory, expanded instrumentation and experimentation which challenged but accentuated his core roots sound.

Other new additions to the PFFF include ten young, emerging and incredibly vibrant artists as part of their new Youth Program. Henrietta Barker, Abbey Titmus, Nick Keogh, Grace Moloney, Ruby McKenna, Maddie Jackway, Evie May, Gabby Steel, Andrei O’Connor, and Flynn Gurry will all perform at this year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival – an awesome opportunity for the up and coming musicians to present their music to you and also work alongside established artists involved in the 2022 festival.

Since its onset in 1977, the festival has evolved into an intricate piece of the coastal Victorian town, and has earned Port Fairy global recognition in the world of folk music. Don’t miss it!
