Tom Morello, best known for his work in Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave, has announced his new solo album, The Atlas Underground, jam-packed with A-list collaborations.

Having worked with everyone from Johnny Cash to Bruce Springsteen in the past, it’s no surprise that The Atlas Underground features a massive cast of musicians including Marcus Mumford, Portugal. The Man, Bassnectar, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and GZA, Vic Mensa, K.Flay, Big Boi, Gary Clark Jr., Pretty Lights, Killer Mike, Steve Aoki and Whethan.

The huge range of artists has helped shape The Atlas Underground into a genre-defying blend of rock, EDM and hip-hop. Morello’s strong history of political activism, through his personal life and his music, is immediately evident on the album which goes in hard lyrically.

“The riffs and the beats led the way, but the extraordinary talents of the collaborators set my creativity into uncharted territory. I’ve been devoted both musically and as an activist to fighting injustice at every turn,” says Morello.

Morello has released a trailer for the new album which you can check out below.
