Yellow Fever’s self titled album is certainly an unexpected delight. Peering from the underskirts of Mum’s apron, this is minimalist pop at its sugary best: simple, sweet, catchy and breezy.
From the playful nursery-style of Cutest and Donald, and the equally fun Cats And Rats, Yellow Fever’s debut is filled with immediately singable, hummable campfire numbers.
The ace Psychedelic churns along, propelled by a buzzing guitar and vocalists Jennifer Moore and Isabel Martin’s sweet (and a little sexy) harmonies which, throughout the album, prove the highlight. Summer is twelve months long with Yellow Fever in the room.
