Win: Dinner and wine for four at Rochford Winery’s Live Music Series

Words by Staff Writer

One lucky Beat reader is set to win a $250 voucher for dinner and wine at Rochford Winery's Live Music Series and entering couldn't be easier.

Rochford Wines has extended its Saturday night Live Music Series at Il Vigneto with ten free concerts from May to September.

The Yarra Valley winery, known for hosting major music events, is partnering with Music Victoria to showcase local Melbourne talent through a series of free indoor gigs. Rochford Wines continues its tradition as the Home of Live Music in the Yarra Valley, bringing emerging artists to regional audiences.

Catherine De Cieri, Rochford Wines Music Operations Manager, is driving the program with a clear vision. “As the Home of Live Music in the Yarra Valley, I believe it’s our responsibility to support up and coming artists, share live music with our regional population, making it accessible and family friendly, and we are totally committed to supporting artists who are building a career in the music industry,” she said.

The diverse lineup showcases both established and emerging talent, with special focus on artists from the LGBTQIA+ and indigenous music communities. The concert series is part of a partnership with the Victorian Government to promote local music acts.

The program kicks off on 10 May with Georgia Page, a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter whose emotive voice and heartfelt lyrics blend soul, pop, and acoustic elements. The following week features indigenous artist Archer, a largely self-taught country and blues musician with a unique voice described as a folk musician and country blues crooner poet.

Other artists in the series include Dave Diprose & Darryl Thompson (24 May), Ben Strong (7 June), Corn Nut Creek (21 June), Michael Arvanitakis (5 July), and Sadie Mustoe (12 July), with more acts to be announced for the remaining dates through September.

Rochford Wines has been a pioneer in Australian outdoor music events and is now focusing on bringing local talent to the Yarra Valley, making live music accessible to regional audiences in a family-friendly environment.
