This legend just made a Monopoly game board based on beloved Melbourne pubs and bars

Because why not?

You may know Floss Dogg as one-third of beloved Melbourne DJ collective Primer, who were hosting a resident party at Sub Club before everything went down. Late last year, we featured the group as part of our ongoing Beats by Beat mix series, where they delivered an exclusive house mix filled with groove and late-night floor-fillers.

Now the creative has delivered something quite ingenious and reflective of how people are staying sane during lockdown. Via a Facebook post, Floss Dogg gave us an unofficial Melbourne Monopoly game board based on some of the city’s most beloved pubs and bars.

It’s a piece of art featuring local venues such as The Gaso, Revolver, Section 8 and even Mercat, the sorely-missed dance dungeon that used to sit beneath Queen Victoria Market. Others include Lounge, One Six One, as well as watering holes Dr Morse, Monty’s and Thank You Bar.

Instead of Community Chest cards, Floss Dogg’s version offers Drink Cards, while the regular railways are replaced with Victoria Park, Melbourne Central and Flinders Street.

What you do with the Monopoly board is up to you – what we’d suggest is that you print it out and getting a drinking game going. Drink when you land on someone’s property, drink when you roll doubles, dedicate a drink to each venue that you land on. We’ll leave it to your imagination.

Check it out below:

As you dive headfirst into unofficial Melbourne Monopoly, maybe Floss Dogg’s music could be the perfect soundtrack.
