The Wheeler Centre’s Season Three is so jam-packed full of amazing speakers that it’s hard to decide who to see. Here’s an overview of some of the events taking place later this year.

Monday September 3 sees the opening for entries to the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards for an unpublished manuscript. To celebrate this, past winners Jane Harper, Melanie Cheng and Christian White will all discuss their journeys.

American blockbuster young adult novelist Veronica Roth will be in Melbourne for the first time. The superstar of sci-fi is talking about fantasy worlds and fan fiction with fellow best-selling author Amie Kaufman also at the Athenaeum Theatre on Monday September 10.

Australian best-selling author Liane Moriarty brings her smart, sexy, satirical voice to the Athenaeum Theatre on Friday September 21, discussing her Hollywood success, latest novel Nine Perfect Strangers and stories that spring from the suburbs of Sydney.

ABC journalist Rachel Brown showcases her Walkley Award-winning true crime podcast Trace whilst talking to retired homicide detective Ron Iddles and the son of a cold case victim, discussing the case and questions that surround cold cases on Wednesday October 17.

The Season Three line-up also features Chair of Justice Connect Gillian Triggs, Asylum Seeker Resource Centre founder Kon Karapanagiotidis, journalist and author Anne Summers, local authors Gerald Murnane and Chloe Hooper, and former Google data scientist Seth Stephens-Davidowitz.
