For adults only, the Melbourne Planetarium are putting on a showcase of stellar films on their iconic dome.
A trip on a SpaceX rocket will set you back $55 million, so why not settle for the next best thing and hang out at the Planetarium this August instead? Scienceworks are hosting a program of adults-only after hours screenings at the Planetarium, while you enjoy a drink from the bar. They have two films available to watch; Ticket to the Universe and Particle/Wave.

- It takes place every Friday evening throughout August
- All sessions are 18+, so you can grab a drink from the bar and enjoy it in the Planetarium!

Enjoy two screenings a night on their famous 16 metre domed ceiling with 7.1 surround sound system and full-dome video projection.
With a focus on astronomy, check out Ticket to the Universe, a selection of rare astronomical events curated by Dr Tanya Hill, a Museums Victoria astronomer. It’s a presenter-led journey through the night sky.
Journey into the incredible discovery of gravitational waves with Particle/Wave. The disturbances or ripples in the curvature of spacetime, they’re crazy space phenomenons. A fulldome art film experience, it offers an immerse voyage into unseen worlds.

Located in the suburb of Spotswood, Scienceworks is a science and technology museum that features modern interactive exhibitions. They’re known for the Melbourne Planetarium and the Lightning Room, as well as their educational programs and exhibits.
