Released back in May 2020, their sixth album Imploding The Mirage features a huge spread of collaborations with artists including Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills and Lucius. Drawing from influence ranging from Kate Bush to Peter Gabriel, the album sees The Killers exploring a new sonic direction. Having moved from their hometown in Las Vegas before writing and recording the album, Imploding The Mirage leaves behind the grit of the band’s Nevada roots, pushing them out of their comfort zone.

Presented by Roundhouse Entertainment and Frontier Touring, the phenomenal live band will deliver an electric set filled with their biggest hits, non-single fan favourites and choice cuts from Imploding The Mirage, and perhaps even a few cuts from their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven Pressure Machine. Released earlier this year while touring was still on hold due to the pandemic, Pressure Machine is an aural document of growing up – and living – in the American Southwest, told from a myriad of perspectives.

Since first bursting onto the scene in 2004, topping Australian charts and going double platinum with debut album Hot FussThe Killers garnered instant popularity and widespread international success with their refreshing synth-rock sound, their infectious nature and their Las Vegas blood; plus Flowers’ unique vocals. . Arguably the band’s biggest masterstroke was their sole release of bona fide earworm ‘Mr Brightside’ which went on to become song with the most weeks in the UK Singles Chart ever — clocking in at a total of 200 weeks.

Selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, and headlining all of the world’s top festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, the band have gone on to receive countless accolades, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards and NME Awards.

On the very same day that 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful hit #1 on the ARIA Album chart, the band took to the stage at the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground for the 2017 AFL Grand Final and absolutely nailed their set, delivering exuberant energy that punters can expect from their forthcoming Australian tour.
