The Beards plan to help out their facial hair deprived fans by release an iPhone application this April.
The Beards have made a career touring Australia performing and preaching about their facial hair. Now they have plans to release an iPhone application that can ‘beardify’ you … just in time for their April tour.
This band is serious about their beards, even appearing at the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Alaska 2009 (not joking, it’s a real thing). With a repertoire of songs with titles like No Beard, No Good and If You’re Dad Doesn’t Have A Beard, You’ve Got Two Mums it’s easy to see that The Beards may be a little biased when it comes to facial hair.
Band members Johann Beardraven (Vocals, Guitar, Sax), Nathaniel Beard (Bass, Vocals), Facey McStublington (Guitar, Vocals) and John Beardman (Drums, Vocals) live up to their name, each sporting impressively bushy beards and taking on a facial hair related name.
Believing that everyone should have a beard, they have created a self-titled iPhone Application. The app’s main feature is the "Put A Beard On It!" function which will allow all beardless fans to add a beard to their face, ladies included. The app will be free and should be available early April to coincide with their latest tour announcement.
The Beards will start their tour at The Evelyn in Melbourne on April 2 and return for a free concert as part of Fed Square Live on April 21.
