Shaky Stills bring their trademark big hearted honesty to latest single ‘Ditty of Sobriety’

Shaky Stills

Shaky Stills bring their signature tight sound and three part vocal harmonies to their latest single 'Ditty of Sobriety'.

Known for their tight instrumental arrangements, vocal harmonies and no-nonsense country sound, Shaky Stills bring a uniquely Australian edge to the genres of country western, tex mex, trucker and western swing.

Full of infectiously toe-tapping guitar riffs undercut by the eerie wail of pedal steel guitar that brings a classic country flavour to the track, their latest single ‘Ditty of Sobriety’ is reminiscent of the roots-oriented sound of melancholy Americana. Written as as an answer to their song ‘Alone’ off their 2017 album Genuine, ‘Ditty of Sobriety’ is inspired by the electricity of atmosphere as well as the assertion that “nobody wants to be alone”. The single was released today, August 25, ahead of their upcoming free gig at Merri Creek Tavern on August 26.
