Define your sound in five words or less:

Hot melodic alternative pop-rock

Someone is walking past as you’re playing, they get a beer and tell their friend

about you… what do they say?

I’ll have what she’s having…

And how do they dance?

Like Mike Patton.

How long have you been gigging and writing?

Been maturing as a writer since age 13. Been gigging the originals at select live venues for the past 4 years but I’ve been fronting my nightclub cover-band now for the past 5 years, playing three nights a week, every week. This made for excellent experience on stage and working with crowds. Since then I’ve somehow managed to get a bachelor degree in music composition from the Victorian College of the Arts as well.

What’s been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?

Played a full hour set of originals on the Heineken Beer Garden Main Stage at the 2011 Australian Open, opening for Aussie pop outfit Bluejuice. That was pretty cool.

Do you have any releases to date? What? Where can I get it? Is it good?

Yes. The latest release is debut EP Say The Word featuring new single and music video I’ve Been Waiting.

Why should everyone come and see you?

Awesome new tracks. Super tight band. Shana & Ashley are my new uber rockin’ dancers featuring throughout the set. You gotta hear the sounds from support act Van Myer. Will be screening the “I’ve Been Waiting” music video between sets. I don’t get the chance to gig my music very often so this would be the perfect gig to check out if you’ve never seen me live before. Beer. What else do you need?

When and where are you playing next?

I’m playing Roxie Hart in a boutique production of Chicago in Melbourne this November. The new musical I wrote inspired by the works of Quentin Tarantino and Frank Miller called Sugartown has been picked up to be produced as a workshop in Sydney this November as well. You can hopefully catch me playing at Moomba and the St.Kilda Festival over the new-year break.

No feeling in the world. No moment standing still. No promise to my heart can ever compare. Breathe Out.
