ChillOut festival transforms Hepburn Shire’s Daylesford into regional Victoria’s LGBTI mecca for a five-day 21st birthday party running from Thursday March 8 until Monday March 12.
Celebrating a milestone birthday of out and proud, the popular annual festival is hosting over 50 events for the queer community and its extended family, friends and supporters.
The festival kicks off on Thursday March 8 with ‘Tickle Me Pink: The Legends’ – a night of food, entertainment and tunes hosted by drag legends Miss Candee, Rita La Coqueta and Sue Ridge. Followed by a ‘Lavish Lunch’ at Hepburn Springs, an ‘Out and Proud’ disco, pool party, and bush dances.
Other events include bingo, bush walks, bike rides, exhibitions, dining, dance parties, comedy, drag and entertainment from Ladyhood, Monique Brumby, Nat Allison, Casey Freeman and many more.
Humbly beginning in 1997, ChillOut has become Hepburn Shire’s largest and longest running festival, increasing Daylesford’s population to ten times the size for the week-long program.
