Many of us have lost someone to cancer, and because of this we are reminded to appreciate life even more.
Recently, Melodee and Erick have both lost important women in their lives to cancer. As a gesture of thanks to all these women did in their lives and supporting those who work in treating cancer, Section 8 and the Drop are hosting the fundraiser To Mama, with Love as part of the World’s Greatest Shave 2018.
After growing his hair for eight years, Erik has an unquestionably perfect man bun and Melodee has finally grown her hair to mermaid length. However, they both agree they’re letting go for a good cause.
Whilst Area Studio and Captain Darlings Barber Shop help shave Erick and Melodee, the soundtrack will be provided by JPS, Nam, YO! MAFIA, Slick P, Rintrah and Melo. Local barbers from Creator’s Lounge will be cutting hair for a donation from 3pm, and prizes are up for the winning during the event.
Every donation counts with all cash proceeds, including those spent on drinks, going towards the team’s target of $10K and assist nursing, medical research and emotional support for people affected by cancer. Meanwhile, the hair is donated to Hair with a Heart, an organisation that collects hair to make wigs for young victims of cancer.
