National Indigenous Music Awards reveals finalists

The National Indigenous Music Awards will be extra special this year; not only will the ceremony showcase an incredible selection of nominees and performers, but the NIMAs will also be celebrating their 15th anniversary. 

Announced today, the nominees include Baker Boy and Gurrumul with three nominations each and Jessica Mauboy, Dan Sultan, Alice Skye, Kardajala Kirridara and Emily Wurramara each with nominated twice. 

As well as recognising Indigenous talent through awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Community Clip of the Year, Film Clip of the Year and Best New Talent, the awards ceremony will also see performances from the likes of Baker Boy, Busby Marou, Kasey Chambers with Alan Pigram and Roger Knox, as well as this year’s triple j Unearthed Indigenous winner.
