Learn about zero waste living, fashion upcycling and urban beekeeping at Fed Square’s sustainability festival

RESET Festival
words by staff writer

Fed Square's annual RESET sustainability festival is back this September with a stacked lineup of workshops, markets, activities and more.

The environment could always do with a little more love, which is why Fed Square is dedicating an entire month of programming to RESET, its annual festival for environmental sustainability and reconnecting with the natural world.

With events happening throughout the month, the festival is the perfect place to learn how to reduce your impact on the planet. From urban beekeeping to veganism, there’s just so much to explore, and Fed Square, an urban oasis nestled beside Birrarung Marr, makes for the ultimate setting.

A highlight of the program is the Zero Waste Festival, offering discussions and tricks from experts to learn how to live a garbage-free lifestyle. The vegan market, Plant Based Paradise, is also a favourite, with plenty of cruelty-free fashion, homewares, cosmetics and more to shop as well as delicious vegan snacks and drinks.

Elsewhere in the program, find the live installation All The Rage which shines a light on the bountiful waste created by fast fashion and modern notions of beauty. Performers will transform old sets and costumes into fashionable outfits which will go on to be displayed in the Atrium’s Fracture Gallery after the shows.

RESET is designed for both adults and youngsters, featuring an action-packed program of activities. With crafting and music-making workshops, interactive arts performances, scavenger hunts, toy swaps and more on the schedule, it’s guaranteed to keep both you and your little ones busy.
