Live Music Professionals encourages independent promoters, venue owners, venue managers and band bookers to develop their businesses alongside industry professionals — all for free.

Successful applicants in this program will be matched with and taught by some of Australia’s most skilled industry professionals like the 2017 coaches: Publicist and manager Carolyn Logan, owner of The Tote and Bar Open Jon Perring, Groovin The Moo festival booker Richard Moffat, manager and co-producer of the Hills Are Alive Festival Aidan McLaren, and Alex Zaccaria of digital marketing agency Bolster.

The program has been designed to strengthen Victoria’s live music sector by fostering successful music businesses and giving participants the opportunity to attend specialised workshops, masterclasses and conferences while also having access to invaluable networking opportunities.

2017 Coach Sally Mather of The Corner Group said, “Live Music Professionals was a great way to connect with people in different facets of the industry and it was really exciting to see the enthusiasm everyone had to learn, share and really make the most of the program.”

Live Music Professionals will run from July to November and is free for all accepted applicants. Applications are open until April 3rd with Victorians of all backgrounds who meet the eligibility requirements encouraged to apply.
