As a way of saying thank you on behalf of all Victorians, the State Government is offering 15,000 free tickets to RISING’s signature event ‘The Wilds’.

If you are a nurse, doctor, teacher or childcare worker, you’re eligible to receive a free ticket to the spectacular event that’s set to take over Sydney Myer Music Bowl in June. Complete with ice-skating, art, music and food, The Wilds transforms the surrounds of the Sydney Myer Music Bowl into a bioluminescent paradise.

What you need to know

  • Free tickets are being released for RISING’s The Wilds

With its season already extended an extra seven days due to popular demand, The Wilds is a unique blend of experiences, including visual art, movement and fine dining. It’s set to open to the public on June 1 and will finish on June 19. Featuring a glowing biosphere created by New York City-based Australian technologist artists Tin & Ed, a plant filled glasshouse dining room that makes up RISING’s headline fine-dining experience, an ice skating rink and so much more, The Wilds is truly an experience unlike any other.

This initiative is a gesture of recognition of the hard work that Frontline Workers have done for us throughout these tough times. “It’s an honour to provide this gesture of gratitude to our health and education workers, who have given so much to the community,” says Danny Pearson, the Minister for Creative Industries. “This festival will ignite Melbourne’s colder months with the very best of food, art and culture and Victorians will be proud to know our frontline workers will be there to enjoy it.”

On this initiative, RISING Co-artistic Directors Hannah Fox and Gideon Obarzanek have stated; “we’re thrilled that, through this Victorian Government initiative, RISING can throw open the gates to one of the festival’s premier experiences to extend a gesture of thanks to frontline workers for their tireless work.”
