Bollywood star and India’s biggest stand-up comedian Vir Das is coming to Australia for a series of headlining comedy shows.

For the first time in five years, Vir Das is heading to Australia for a national tour with his show Wanted. A global comedy sensation, Vir Das is the first Indian comedian to have a stand up special on Netflix. Now with four Netflix specials produced in five years and an Emmy nomination, Vir Das brings his unique Indian perspective to his stand-up performances.

Truly an embodiment of the globalisation of stand-up, his work has delighted audiences worldwide as he has performed on six continents, with sold-out runs in Australia.

With performances at London’s prestigious Soho Theatre and multiple TV appearances on ‘Conan’, Vir Das is quickly cementing himself as a pillar of stand-up comedy. After being featured at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at Montreal’s Just For Laughs, the comedian, actor and musician has starred in many television series such as Whiskey Cavalier, Fresh Off the Boat and Hasmokh, which Vir created and produced. He also wrote and produced the one hour Netflix special Vir Das: Outside In, created during the lockdown in 2020.
