If you could book any 3 bands to play a show, who would they be and why? Dame Nellie Melba, Bon Scott, David Bowie. Rest In Peace.
What has been the ultimate highlight in terms of a show you’ve held there? So many. Here’s a couple of favourites – Gizz Fest, Sampa The Great’s Corner Award show, Thee Oh Sees, Public Enemy, Courtney Barnett, Dean Wareham playing Galaxie 500, even Tina Arena at Corner was awesome. Parquet Courts and Total Control was a big double bill, was also an absolute honour to have the late, great Sharon Jones come play.
Finally, what’s happening there for you as part of this year’s Leaps & Bounds? Huge program including Augie March on the opening night, sultry disco duo GL and UK’s The Undertones and a few more to be announced – watch this space!
