Track Bitten By The Same Bug is lifted from The Basic’s upcoming live album In The Rude, set for release on Sunday May 21. Recorded at Melbourne’s very own Howler, the album is their third live record and their first album since 2015’s Age of Entitlement.
The Melbourne trio is comprised of Tim Heath, Kris Schroeder and Wally De Backer of Gotye fame. Though things have been a little quiet from The Basics, their latest offering proves they are as on point as ever.
“Every time we have a break from playing together, I’m always amazed how quickly it comes back together,” said guitarist, Tim Heath.
“I haven’t been playing live with my solo project (Gotye), so it’s simplyrefreshing to play live in itself. Lazy right foot on the drums, that’s for sure!” said De Backer.
