Foster The People are releasing the first album, Torches.
"All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you’d better run, better run, outrun my gun…" Sound familiar? It should, because this is the song that ranked #32 on Triple J’s Hottest 100.
It comes from an EP released by Foster The People in January, which also includes the two catchy tunes Houdini and Helena Beat.
Now the Californian three-piece is set to release a full-length album on May 20 through Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Their first album, Torches will feature songs that you may or may not have heard at the sold-out gig they band played at the Northcote Social Club in February.
Foster The People is made up of Mark Foster, Cubbie Fink and Mark Pontius. They have a fun, shimmering, poppy MGMT-like sound that you can listen to on their website fosterthepeople.com.
