Boasting theatre performances, cooking demonstrations, live music, spoken work, comedy and story telling, the week long festival includes a mixture of free and ticketed events and will take place at a host of venues.
On the bill are events such as Slow Stylin’, sustainable fashion and tote making workshop, Amataga O Le Atofa, a theatre performance by Melbourne’s Samoan community, as well as Cookin’ Up Community events at Fitzroy’s Atherton Gardens Community Kitchen from traditional Sudanese and Chilean cooks.
Ethiopian pop powerhouse Nhatty Man & Gara are also set to launch their album, Selam at a show at The Melba Speigeltent, while the acclaimed Shiralee Hood will also perform.
