The Winter Blues Festival is returning to Echuca-Moama this July with more than 50 artists set to perform.

Running from 23 to 26 July, the 2026 Winter Blues Festival programme features over 150 performances across 20-plus stages in the Murray River twin towns. Blues, roots, soul and rock ‘n’ roll will fill pubs, cafés, restaurants, outdoor spaces and purpose-built event venues throughout the four-day stretch. Artists from around the country make up the lineup, mixing established names with returning favourites and first-time festival performers.

The bill is led by Jeff Lang and Dom Turner, 19 Twenty, Ray Beadle, Kathleen Halloran and Nathan Cavaleri, with Geoff Achison and the Souldiggers, Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones, Glenn Skuthorpe, the Frank Sultana Blues Band and Jimi Hocking’s Blues Machine also in the mix. Sets span intimate acoustic sessions, family-friendly shows and late-night jams.

Central to the festival’s identity is its free-entry venue model, which lets attendees wander between participating spots and catch live music right across both towns without buying a ticket. The open-door format has been at the heart of the event for more than 25 years. Organisers say it continues to draw visitors to the region during winter, supporting local accommodation providers, restaurants and small businesses in the process.

The Winter Blues Festival is run entirely by a not-for-profit, volunteer-led committee, and the 2026 programme wraps up with the annual Wrap Party on the final night. Artists from across the weekend come together for a collaborative jam, with the evening also serving as a fundraiser for the crew that manages the event year-round.

The full programme is available at winterblues.com.au, and a dedicated festival app is live on the Apple App Store and Google Play for building a personalised schedule. The festival is supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria’s Regional Events Fund.
