Interstellar Groove Festival is rolling into Tallarook with three music stages, a tripled roving performer crew and a daytime Village packed with workshops.
Tallarook is about to get weirder, with Interstellar Groove Festival returning for its fourth edition on 30 October.
The independent electronic music, arts and camping event runs across four days until 2 November.
Alongside the three music stages, there’s an enlarged performing arts crew, daytime workshops, talks, visual art, markets and family activities.
Early access opens from midday on 29 October for Early Access pass holders, and 400 final release tickets are still up for grabs.
Festival Director Andrew Cook says Interstellar Groove has always been about human connection and it’s people.
“It is a place where playfulness flows freely, friendships deepen and every person contributes to the shared experience.
“With the festival now less than 3 weeks away, we cannot wait to welcome our community back and show them everything the entire team has been working so hard on for the last 11 months.”

The music lineup
The three stages cover progressive house, techno, psytrance, drum and bass and the gaps in between.
Amsterdam’s Patrice Bäumel is on the bill with melodic, tension-heavy electronic music, while D Nox arrives with more than three decades of experience as a DJ, producer and label founder. Shahaf Efrat’s progressive psytrance project Freedom Fighters is also locked in, along with British veteran John 00 Fleming, who has spent his career in deep, psychedelic and progressive trance under the JOOF name.
Marc Romboy comes from Germany, working between techno, melodic electronics and electronic composition. Luis M is booked for his psychedelic spin on bush techno, and Los Angeles producer Sammy Legs brings underground house and techno with a psychedelic tinge.
Swiss producer Vince LeBarde performs as Electrypnose, a project that drifts from psytrance and techno through to ambient and chillout. The international list also includes Bayawaka, Dela Moon, Golanski, One Million Toys and Pavel Petrov, plus a special guest appearance from Eeemus.
Local artists make up a big chunk of the program, including GMJ and Matter, Kasey Taylor, Shadow FX, Kodiak Kid, Butterz, Christopher Brooks, Platypuss, Nikki Sig, Funkform, Jedidiah, Mora, Haber, Handsdown and Unknown Concept.
Five crews are running takeovers as well: Coco Poco Loco, Homebass, Love Camp, Morning After and Weapon Records.
Performing arts

The roving performer program has tripled in size this year, so aerials, silks, flow, circus, magic and character acts will be wandering the grounds instead of sticking to one stage.
The full list runs to 25 performers and companies: The Faerialist, Genie, Lumen, Charissa DeVille, P Twurlz, Pickles, River Wildheart, Moth, Karina Flow, Zandria, Space Mums, Mystica Fay, Maxwell Bubbleologist, Luke Blaze, Filthy Aliens, Fae Fusion, Elemental Entertainment, Cosmic Cowgirls, CJ Aerials, Citrus Union, Buenos Nachos, Blazie, Arabella Allure and Blu DeVille, Amazon Art and Aerial Arcana.
Expect surprise run-ins between sets, on the way to the stages and around the daytime spaces, with performers mixing in with the crowd and giving punters the chance to get involved.
The Village

The Village is the daytime base, set up as a spot to slow down, learn something and meet people. Its morning program runs until 1pm, covering yoga, movement, breathwork, sound healing, circus play, painting and dance.
There are 16 confirmed sessions and talks, including Yin and Sound, Electronic Odyssey Breathwork, The Cosmic Heart – A Somatic Dance Journey, Thwurkin at the Twerk Shop and Dive Into Your Subconscious: Paint What Lies Within.
A Naturopath’s Festival Survival Guide is on the list too, and the wider talks program covers authenticity, connection, healing, festival wellbeing and psychedelic safety.
Kids and families

Kids aged 14 and under are welcome in The Village, where there are daytime activities and a children’s movie night from 6pm to 8pm between 30 October and 2 November.
On 31 October, the craft table includes canvas painting, an Interstellar 2026 kids banner, jewellery making, mindful colouring, origami, free drawing and parachute games.
On 1 November, kids can make a gemstone or clay microphone or get their face painted by Kaila, with the regular crafts continuing. On 2 November, it’s mask making and insect paper collage, plus the same staples.
Art, Love Camp and food
The Portal of Peculiarities Art Gallery is growing this year, with more local visual artists showing work across the grounds.
Love Camp returns from Queensland for a second year, setting up in the festival’s big red stretch tent.
The food, drink and market lineup has also expanded, so there are more spots to browse, snack and meet people between sets.
