The Motley Bauhaus is not just a theatre – it's a hub for artsy types, fostering artistic growth and sparking inspiration.

Featuring a cabaret performance space, a gallery, art studios, a recording studio, a dark room and plenty more, the Motley Bauhaus has creativity lurking in every corner.

This month, the Carlton gem is playing host to over a dozen different events. Of course, its regular free events are going on as usual: the Wednesday poetry open mics, Saturday jazz afternoons and Gloves Off comedy open mic nights.

Explore Melbourne’s latest arts and stage news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

This month, visitors will have a chance to check out one of the Golden Scissors puppet-making workshops, running on Tuesday nights for 10 weeks. If being crafty si your thing, the free weekly life drawing classes might be up your alley as well.

On stage, find an eccentric mix of performances from hilarious to haunting. Without further ado, here’s what’s happening this June at the Motley Bauhaus.
