Brooklyn duo Sable Yong And Andrew Pierce have shaped their sound entirely in the studio, using warm analogue recording, great echoing tom beats and jangly guitars to replicate the style of sixties girl groups like the Shangri-Las and the Ronettes. The song itself is missing that distinctive Motown funk but it’s cute enough – a slight, nostalgic bubble of music that doesn’t really distinguish itself from the past.
