Homegrown is the new hip-hop heavy festival to soothe your post-summer blues and level up your mid-year festival plans.
Born out of the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Homegrown is the latest hip hop festival set to take Melbourne by storm this May.
Curated by three mates with a penchant for hip hop and more specifically Aussie hip hop, Homegrown was spawned from the desire to create a space where people could come and enjoy the music and connect with different individuals.

Taking over PICA (Port Melbourne Industrial Centre for the Arts) on Saturday 14 May, the 18+ one-day hip hop festival has dropped an impressive lineup of artists for its inaugural edition headed up by the three-time ARIA Award-winning hip hop trio Bliss n Eso, the enduring Perth hip-hop artist Drapht, and Sydney hip-hop duo Horrorshow.
Further bolstering the lineup, Posseshot, a duo from Melbourne consisting of MR.MUSCLE and KHA; alongside South East Melbourne’s most slept on mosh pit starters Fourth Place, among others championing some serious house party vibes thanks to a strictly limited capacity.
Celebrating all things hip hop, Homegrown Festival’s sprawling urban landscape will house multiple bars kitted with local craft beers, Baxter Vodka, Aubrey Cocktails and a Burn City Rum VIP bar, alongside live art, market stalls, interactive installations and of course, heaps of the best local food trucks.
With a list of surprise support acts to be announced, Homegrown is set to be one of the must experience hip hop events of the year.
