After a trauma-filled hiatus of five or six years, Blink 182 are back and peddling a weird blend of pop punk, pop and growling metal. Frustratingly ponderous and slow-moving, Up All Night is an old man version of the speeding, impish anthems that Blink 182 used to write – their efforts to create something new overwhelming their ability to write something good. Too much emo noodling, not enough pubescent mayhem.
