Aussie musicians hit the road for rural motel gig

Not your usual concert venue.

A bunch of Aussie musicians are packing up their cars and playing a show in a motel of all places. The Charlton Hotel, the chosen destination, is roughly a three-hour drive from Melbourne and a perfect weekend roadtrip opportunity.

This is the second regional motel gig organised by OK Motels, an organisation that takes local acts outside of their geographical comfort zone and into some lesser-known locations. Rocking out at the Charlton Motel this year will be Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, Laura Jean, The Living Eyes and more.

Visitors to the Charlton Motel will have access to a classic continental breakfast and multiple dinner options. On the way to the Charlton, be sure to swing past the small towns along the way. Who knows, you might pick up a classy item from an undiscovered op shop.
