Legendary Aussie musicians band together to perform The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’

The beloved record was released in 1969.

Members of some of Australia’s most iconic bands have joined forces to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road with a national tour.

The supergroup, known as ARC, comprises Spiderbait’s Kram, Jet’s Mark Wilson, Davey Lane from You Am I and Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton. The newly-formed band will be performing the entirety of The Beatles’ 11th studio album in full, from start to finish, followed by a set of hits across their discography.

Back in its heyday, Abbey Road scored 81 weeks on the UK charts and 12 weeks at number one on the Billboard charts. Odds are you’ve waited for a zebra crossing to be clear so you can take a quick snap of you and your mates imitating the well-known cover art.
