Tell us about your album. It started as a mixtape of our standout tracks tweaked for a continuous party mix, with new material. It wasn’t long before we realised we had an album on our hands. We covered the breadth of genres we listen to/play in our sets. Our love of house drove the direction of the album; also an undertone of techno/minimal which was fun to incorporate.

Your previous release is Tell Me Baby. What’s the dumbest thing you’ve told a girl? A girl at a club last week said she is “Taking a bite out of life,” to which my brother replied “You certainly look well fed.”

EDM and electronic music seems to be stuck in a loop. How do you separate yourselves from the culture of uniformity? We write for ourselves but keep focus on ways to hook people in. We lean on melody and pack as much musically, peppering tracks with vocal loops, staying true to our style regardless of genre.

What’s your best club experience? A girl approached me at a gig and asked if I recognised her face, I said, “No.” She pulled her top revealing a smiley face on her left boob. Favourite experience raving at Earthcore to Infected Mushroom. Lightning storm hit at the moment their track dropped.

What’s your earliest memory of creating music? In my teens I produced with a terrible format called MOD – a shitty four-track system that crackled out 4bit music from your PC speaker.
