Matt Ridgway returns with a third album, Sunday Morning, and a new single to promote it. I’m not familiar with his oeuvre so I don’t know it compares, but The Night Beetle is a very low-key and unambitious affair. The drifting melody evokes The Beatles’ and maybe quieter moments in the early Blur catalogue – a sweet and slightly nostalgic acoustic pop tune that feels like stargazing.
