The Tanzer-directed video for Doubt, with its use of soft-focus lens, Caddyshack-inspired mise en scene, and screwball exploration of male bravado, is every bit as quintessentially Sex on Toast as you’d expect. It marks another look at their hotly anticipated EP, Ready, out early April.
Taking inspiration from Phil Spector’s classic ‘wall of sound’ production, the lush arrangement shows a different side to the group, who have gone from strength to strength since releasing their self-titled debut in 2014, alongside their widely loved track, Oh Loretta! – complete with a video starring Molly Meldrum.
