He had been battling colon cancer for some time. Colleagues said he had faced his battle bravely. He posted on Facebook, “Some days are good others not so great but hey I’m still hanging in there for now. It’s strange what you can get used too…it just seems normal to feel this way now…Stage IV colon cancer is not something you can cure but we hope to have as many laughs as we can along the way. It’s not been easy for Leisel, Darcy & Spencer but they have been fantastic in helping me along the way.”
