Thornbury To Get A Major New Live Music Venue, First Shows Announced

thecroxton.jpg

Decades since the golden era of pub rock when The Croxton hosted the likes of AC/DC, Skyhooks and Cold Chisel, the venue has has completely renovated their bandroom, artist spaces, bars and sound/lighting systems. The new era Croxton now has a huge bandroom with an unobstructed view of stage, two bars and a beer garden.

The Croxton will relaunch on the AFL Grand Final Long Weekend Eve, Thursday October 1, with You Am I performing their first headline show in two years. They’ll be joined on the evening by Canadian act Bahamas and Fraser A Gorman. On Friday December 4 King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will make their triumphant return to home soil alongside Swedish outfit Goat making their debut sojourn Down Under.

Major shows are booked well into 2016, so stay tuned to Beat for further announcements as they roll in.
