Two emerging artists, one Sunday arvo, and Goldy's Tavern's brand new live music series.
Grab a stool; Discovery Sessions kicks off at Goldy’s Tavern this Sunday, 6 September, with Julia Wallace and Rupert Bullard.
The new monthly series, presented in partnership with Hear Hear Group, lands on the first Sunday of every month and hands the stage to two young and emerging Victorian artists in an intimate, all-ages setting.
If Rupert Bullard’s name rings a bell, that’s because it should; he took out emerging artist of the year at the Port Fairy Folk Festival 2026 following an earlier Discovery Sessions appearance, proof that Goldy’s Tavern has an eye for talent on the way up.
Discovery Sessions will keep rolling every first Sunday right through to December, with Leonardo Ercole, Maxon, Tig, Caisha Sprout, Benjamin Trillado and Chitra all already confirmed for future bills.

Discovery Sessions is just one part of a bigger push from Goldy’s Tavern to become a genuine live music home in Collingwood; built on the same idea that’s driven the venue since it opened in 2019, that Goldy’s is a home everyone comes home to.
The neighbourhood pub runs live music every single Sunday throughout 2026, with Ruby Street Band holding down a resident slot on the second Sunday of each month and a rotating cast of established and emerging Victorian artists filling in the Sundays between.
On the last Sunday of the month, things open right up for Goldy’s Community Open Mic, hosted by local musician Tim Woodz, where anyone from first-timers to seasoned players can jump up and share a song.
Behind the scenes, Discovery Sessions is curated by Hear Hear Group’s Charlotte Abroms, whose relationships across the Victorian music scene help bring genuinely exciting new artists to the Goldy’s stage each month.
But underneath the music program, Goldy’s Tavern is still, first and foremost, a community pub; where new artists share the room with the regulars, the trivia crowd and whoever’s just wandered in for a Sunday pint.
It’s not a bad excuse for a Sunday session either, with $12 Bloody Marys and a Sunday roast keeping the crowd fed and watered from early afternoon, before the weekend rolls on into live DJ sets Friday and Saturday nights.
