Corby returns with his fourth album Tragic Magic, bringing his soaring falsetto and knack for silky basslines to the coast, while London siblings Kitty Daisy & Lewis bring their genre-hopping blend of blues, soul, country, jazz and ska.
You Am I frontman Tim Rogers joins the bill solo, funk and soul veterans The Bamboos mark 25 years together with their horn-driven grooves, and neo-soul artist Kaiit rounds out the headline additions with a genre-blurring sound that’s earned her fans well beyond Australia.
Twelve more acts have also joined the bill: A.C Saunders, Azure Ryder, Cam Walter Blues, Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird, Docker River Band, FARAH, Immy Owusu, Jesse Valach & The Testaments, Kerryn Fields, Liv Cartledge, Midnight Chicken and Oscar LaDell, spanning indie-folk, delta blues, desert reggae, psych-rock, bluegrass and soul.
The current lineup now runs to more than 70 artists across the weekend, with today’s artists joining the already announced Peter Garrett & the Alter Egos, Baker Boy, Kate Miller-Heidke, Meg Mac, Mia Dyson, Lime Cordiale, Magic Dirtalongside local food and drink, immersive arts experiences and a dedicated kids’ area featuring Zindzi & the Zillionaires.
Queenscliff Music Festival has been running since 1997, powered by a team of professionals and more than 500 volunteers each year. The site sits among ancient cypress trees with sweeping views of Port Phillip Bay, and camping is a short stroll from the main stages, with hire-a-tent options available for those who’d rather skip the packing.
