The event aims to foster community connection while supporting important causes, with all proceeds being split evenly between Pay The Rent and YANA (previously known as the Women’s Liberation Halfway House).
The full lineup features Claire O’Brien (Ode), Eugene Pascal (live), Neil-E (live), Primitive Needs, Rev Lon (Slow Burn), roka, Séarlait (1800 Play), and Sharanya, showcasing a diverse range of electronic styles across an eight-hour program.
Event organisers 1800 Play have emphasised the community-focused nature of the event, creating a space where music lovers can enjoy performances in the unique setting of Kayla’s florist space at Xflos.
Food and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, will be available throughout the day, with the venue providing a distinctive botanical backdrop for the performances.
The fundraising element of 1800 Play [live] from Flowerclub highlights significant social causes. Pay The Rent acknowledges that in Australia we live work and play on stolen Aboriginal land. And we want to do something practical to honour sovereignty – so let’s Pay the Rent.
Meanwhile, YANA has been providing holistic support for victim-survivors impacted by family violence since 1974, making it one of the longest-running services of its kind in Victoria.
The event has already garnered interest, with attendees encouraged to secure tickets in advance. While tickets and donations are described as “optional but encouraged,” organisers have confirmed that 100% of proceeds will go directly to the two chosen organisations.
