Keyboardist and accordion player John Linnell and guitarist John Flansburgh became friends as kids in school in Massachusetts but only formed the band after moving to New York.
The tour will see the duo, with their live band, play shows in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
