Melbourne's own Phoebe Go is taking things back to basics with a stripped-back solo show in Brunswick.
The singer-songwriter will perform at The Quadraphonic Club on 5 June as part of a seven-date run of intimate shows along Australia’s east coast. Presented by Collective Artists, the tour lands ahead of Phoebe Go’s forthcoming second album, following her 2024 debut record Marmalade and 2025 single Taking Care of It.
For those unfamiliar, Phoebe Go is the solo project of Phoebe Lou, who first emerged as the vocalist of Melbourne five-piece Snakadaktal back in 2009. That band called it a day in 2014, after which Lou formed the duo Two People with former bandmate Joey Clough. She launched the Phoebe Go project with the EP Player, carving out a more acoustic, stripped-back sound compared to her earlier work.

The east coast run spans seven shows across a mix of capital city and regional rooms, with Phoebe Go performing solo throughout. It marks a deliberate shift toward smaller spaces, leaning into the raw, unaccompanied core of her songwriting rather than the fuller arrangements of a band setup.
Marmalade established Phoebe Go as one of the more compelling voices in Australian alt-pop, weaving together threads from across her decade-plus career into something distinctly her own. The forthcoming album will be her second full-length release under the Phoebe Go name.
Tickets are available through Humanitix, with the Brunswick show running from 7pm to 11:30pm. The Quadraphonic Club sits at 345 Victoria St, making it an easy tram ride for anyone coming from the city.
