New open-air festival Interval Festival announces debut Melbourne edition at Heide Museum of Modern Art this September.
Melbourne’s electronic music scene welcomes a fresh addition with the announcement of Interval Festival, set to debut on Friday 26 September at the iconic Heide Museum of Modern Art. The all-day celebration promises to blend electronic music, creativity and connection amongst the museum’s lush greenery, sculpture gardens and open skies.
Interval Festival positions itself as a gathering for the curious, the dancers and the daydreamers, featuring a carefully curated lineup of local and international DJs across two immersive stages. The inaugural edition showcases an impressive roster of electronic artists spanning various subgenres and styles.

Ticket pricing follows a tiered release structure, starting with presale access at $55 before moving through progressive price points. The presale registration closes at 11am on Thursday 10 July, with presale tickets becoming available at 12pm the same day. General admission tickets go on sale at 5pm, offering multiple opportunities for festival-goers to secure their place.
The festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, demonstrating cultural awareness and respect for Indigenous heritage. This recognition aligns with contemporary festival practices and community expectations.
