Ratten ran the Rainbow for 14 years. He is remembered for his passion for Australian music and for the Fair Go for Live Music initiative. His battle to keep live music alive was documented in the ABC screened The End Of The Rainbow in 2007.

Entry is free, and the lineup features Kerri Simpson, Andy Baylor, Dave Hogan’s Meltdown, The Band That Knew Too Much, Matt Walker & Suzannah Espie, Sarah Caroll, Chris Wilson, Rod Paine and Full Time Lovers.

The event will be hosted by 3CR’s Werner Martin who presented the Hot Damn Tamale Show at the Rainbow for 12 years.

The Rainbow (27 David Street) continues to support live music under current publicans Adam and Jason King. The venue has showcased live music since the 1930s.
