From Shakespeare to screen acting, audition strategies to advanced acting technique – The National Theatre are putting on a series of workshops called Sundays at the National. With an experienced teaching faculty who are all experts in their fields, Sundays at the National offers a ‘tasting menu’ of the rich array of classes available. They all go down on various Sundays over the next couple of months.

With workshops such as Auditioning for Drama Schools with Charlie Cousins, Dynamic Voice and Movement with Dr Jo Loth and Simply Shakespeare with Rob Meldrum. Rob Meldrum is known for his revolutionary teaching of Shakespeare, allowing you to understand Shakespeare from the inside-out.
They’ve also got finding your Clown with Annie Lee, Beyond the Mid Close Up with Cazz Bainbridge and Different Every Night with Charlie Cousins. Inspired by his rehearsal process, Charlie Cousins will explore Chekhov’s The Seagull, with a focus on several scenes in the play as a deep dive into text, character and the world of the play.
A vital part of Melbourne’s creative landscape since 1920, The National Theatre are host to hundreds of performances and community events every year. They’re a not for profit organisation that aims to support communities through the arts by providing an accessible venue and a centre for training emerging artists for generations to come.
