Abbie Chatfield has announced a brand-new national theatre tour, taking her latest live show across Australia in July.
After what she’s described as trauma dumping to 18,000 ticket-holders on her previous run across the country, Abbie Chatfield is coming back with a production dedicated entirely to the opposite sex. The show takes aim at men — the good, the bad, the wildly overconfident and the ones out there writing books about being alpha males.
Billed as a night of sharp comedy and cultural commentary, the production tackles modern masculinity, dating delusions, podcast philosophers and the enduring phenomenon of men explaining things nobody asked them to explain. The format blends comedic material with interactive games and guest interviews featuring some reportedly standout male guests, alongside plenty of chaotic and unscripted moments.

The 10-date national run spans close to three weeks, opening at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul on 10 July and closing at Canberra Theatre on 29 July. Melbourne audiences can catch the show at the Palais Theatre on 12 July, while two consecutive Adelaide dates at the Regal Theatre and Thebarton Theatre give South Australian fans a pair of chances to see the show.
The tour hits some of the country’s most recognisable stages, from Sydney’s heritage-listed State Theatre to Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall and Geelong’s Costa Hall. Chatfield’s previous touring efforts drew an audience of 18,000 nationwide, and the new production covers six states and territories. All shows kick off at 7pm with the exception of Canberra, which starts at 7:30pm. The show may contain coarse language and adult themes.
